  2. Beautiful photos today Les. Those fish do look like they are flying, very clever reflection. :)

  4. Clever post--especially after I realized that it said "fly" not "fry." I was confused for a moment...

  5. Is that a backyard pond, Les? I'm assuming it's a reflection and not a double exposure (you use a digital, right?)--anyway, great photos. What happens to the fish when it gets cold?

  6. Chandramouli,
    Thanks for the comments.

    Racquel,
    Thanks!

    Jo,
I know you were here, sorry I did not take it down sooner, I've been busy. I had not thought of the four elements, but it works.

    David,
Sorry for the confusion. In these parts you usually see fish and fry in a sentence long before fish and fly.

    Cosmo,
It is a backyard pond, my first big garden project after we moved in 13 years ago. The shots were taken with my trusty point and shoot Samsung. The fish stay there all winter, if it gets really cold I put a bird bath heater in the water just to keep an air hole on the surface.

  9. Les, reading this title after your comment, I expected to see your bald eagles dueling over a fish. This is cool too. I love how your reflection looks like a double exposure. Nature works on so many levels as does art.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to you and your family!

  10. Jo,
Thank you very much. I am afraid I did not send you, or anyone else a card.

    Anne,
Thanks, I had fun taking them.

    Sarah,
I am a big fan of M. C. Escher and this reminded me of some of the drawings he did of fish in ponds, or of puddles and reflections, not that I am comparing myself to him.
